Most people don’t connect the words “ice” and “romance” very often, but a couple that traveled to Quebec, Canada, certainly did. They spent some time in the city and decided to visit the famous Hotel De Glace (The Ice Hotel). It sounds terrible, but it’s actually an awesome place you need to see for yourself.

There’s something special about the Hotel de Glace…

As the “ice hotel” moniker implies, it’s made out of ice and snow.

Like, all of it. The temperature inside hovers around 26 degrees.

A bar made entirely of ice sounds perfect to me.

For seating, they add furs to make it a little more comfortable.

This is a basic room. You can only reserve one of these rooms in between the months of January and March.

9 times out of 10, I would prefer to travel to a beach and sip daiquiris, but if I’m ever in Quebec, I’m definitely visiting the Hotel de Glace.
